Mobile Application Leader

We are looking for a highly skilled Mobile Application Leader to lead our team of engineers in building cutting-edge mobile applications. As a leader, you will be responsible for driving architectural solutions collaboratively with your team and engineering leadership.

You will also partner closely with product managers as joint owners of your product success, contributing technical and delivery insight to shape what gets built. Our ideal candidate has owned solution design for complex features within mobile apps before, worked in product-driven companies, and demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive architectural solutions collaboratively with your team and engineering leadership
  • Partner with product managers to contribute technical and delivery insight to shape product direction
  • Manage operational excellence for systems including monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements
  • Champion modern development practices including active use of LLMs within the team
  • Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in mobile system design and well-reasoned decision making
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong self-learning drive and adaptability in workflows incorporating generative AI tools
  • Prior experience with React Native is highly valued
Technical Background:

You should be comfortable writing production code using React Native, but experience with our full tech-stack is not an expectation. Some of the tools we use include:

  • React Native for cross-platform mobile development
  • A modern graphql based api which drives an optimised frontend datastore capability
  • Extensive application monitoring tools such as Sentry, Datadog, Segment
  • A backend built on a serverless, event driven system architecture running on AWS
