Job Title: Cyber Security Expert

A key position in our organization, this role requires a skilled cybersecurity expert to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in cybersecurity technologies and practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in implementing, monitoring, and managing SIEM and SOAR solutions for threat detection and response.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing log analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management across enterprise environments. They will also develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and Bash to enhance security operations.

In addition, the selected individual will manage and secure systems in Linux and Red Hat environments with version control (GitLab, GitHub) and support security configurations and monitoring for cloud platforms (MS Azure).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing, monitoring, and managing SIEM and SOAR solutions for threat detection and response.
  • Performing log analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management across enterprise environments.
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts using Python and Bash to enhance security operations.
  • Managing and securing systems in Linux and Red Hat environments with version control (GitLab, GitHub).
  • Supporting security configurations and monitoring for cloud platforms (MS Azure).
  • Applying strong knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals (firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, endpoint security).
  • Ensuring secure networking practices (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, DHCP) and risk management strategies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure security compliance and governance.
  • Contributing to DevSecOps initiatives, including container security, GDPR, HIPAA, and web security.
  • Supporting audits, documentation, and reporting for compliance and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • Strong knowledge of Python programming and Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, SOAR, and other security products.
  • Proficiency with Linux/Red Hat systems, GitLab, GitHub, and MS Azure.
  • In-depth understanding of networking protocols, vulnerabilities, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices (container security, HIPAA, GDPR, web security) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience in large organizations and team environments.

Education & Certifications (Preferred):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, Azure Security, or CISSP (added advantage).
