As a senior geoscientist, you will be responsible for integrating various geological data to build a robust model and generate development scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate stratigraphic correlations, structural interpretation, and quality control of geo-science maps.
  • Develop a static geo-cellular model incorporating available field data.
  • Estimate volumes in multiple cases, accounting for uncertainties.
  • Verify OGIIP estimates based on maps and models.
  • Create alternative development scenarios considering well type, spacing, etc.
  • Review geological prognosis and well trajectories for drilling.
  • Support the operations geology team during drilling operations and provide operational decisions as needed.
  • Contribute technical inputs for business development plans.
  • Plan and acquire geological data to bridge knowledge gaps and reduce uncertainty through enhanced field understanding.
  • Support pre- and post-drill geo-mechanical analysis.
  • Collaborate with the resources engineering team during dynamic simulation.
  • Verify onsite and lab measurements on cores for coal characterization.
  • Analyze CBM data packages from regulatory bodies or prospective sellers for block acquisition or farming-in.
  • Review and verify subsurface deliverables from third-party or SME studies.
  • Generate integrated subsurface descriptions and risk/uncertainty matrices.
  • Foster cross-functional communication with projects, finance, planning and control, and other departments for all planning and execution related to operations and development.
