Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Powerplant Engineer to manage and oversee the comprehensive maintenance and management of our client's aircraft engine fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, extensive experience in powerplant engineering, and the ability to provide strategic support and technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Management: Oversee all aspects of aircraft engine fleet management and associated activities.
  • Technical Review: Review Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives for Engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and Nacelles.
  • Implementation Oversight: Supervise implementation programs for modifications to Engines, APUs, Nacelles, and accessory parts.
  • Maintenance Support: Provide technical support to Line and Heavy Maintenance teams.
  • Reliability Studies: Support and conduct reliability studies to enhance engine performance.
  • Engine Health Monitoring: Control and oversee Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) systems.
  • OEM Liaison: Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve reliability and technical issues.
  • Documentation: Generate and manage operator documents including MEL Technical Notices, Procedure Notices, Engineering orders, and reports.
  • Lease Management: Provide technical support for aircraft lease reception and returns.
  • Invoice Review: Scope work and review invoices for engine shop visits.
  • Schedule Management: Manage Engine Shop visit schedules, costs, and relationships with Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organizations.
  • Strategic Support: Represent the Powerplant department in meetings to support the company's strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement and transformation projects as a representative for the Powerplant department.
  • Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of Engine and APU Borescope Inspection (BSI) reports.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate engines for lease or purchase based on documentation and checklists.
  • Inspection: Visit MRO facilities during engine shop visits for inspections after disassembly and at other required times.
Requirements
  • Degree: Engineering Degree in a Technical Field (or equivalent experience).
  • Certification: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer certification with at least 10 years of direct experience with Engines/Powerplant systems.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 8 years in an Airline/Powerplant Engineering department.
