Senior Mathematician

This role is a unique opportunity for researchers with strong mathematical and analytical backgrounds to contribute to the development of large language models (LLMs).

As a researcher in this position, you will assist in fine-tuning and evaluating LLMs to improve their ability to understand and solve complex math problems.

• Investigate the number of real symmetric matrices of rank 2 whose entries are only 0 or 1.
• Examine the number of subsets of a set such that the characteristic vector of each subset has Hamming weight exactly 3.
• Count the distinct numbers where the sum of the digits is divisible by 3, and each digit is either 0 or 1.

These tasks aim to find model weaknesses and enhance training and evaluation workflows.

• Academic Background: PhD/Postdoc in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to solve advanced math problems with clear reasoning.
• Communication Skills: Clear explanation of complex topics and precise feedback.
• Research Independence: Ability to work independently in a remote research environment.
• Technical Setup: Access to a reliable computer and internet setup.
