Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our data infrastructure. The successful candidate will have expertise in SAP BODS development, including dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schema understanding, and code deployment across dev and production environments.

  • Create and maintain data flows from multiple source systems, business rules, and processes around data cleansing, consolidation, and validation.
  • Troubleshoot ETL and SQL query issues, provide solutions, and develop views, ad-hoc scheduled SQL queries to analyze data and produce reports as required by the functional team.
  • Design and create logical and physical data models for reporting databases, produce data flow diagrams and documentation as needed.
  • Implement SCD types using BODS flows, build Change Data Capture logic using hash MD5 algorithm, and enable CDC at source.
  • Collaborate with reporting teams and data integration teams to define user data requirements, integrate projects, and work with infrastructure teams, DBAs, and business analysts.
  • Assist in gathering and reviewing business requirements, providing feedback on feasibility and scope.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Designing, developing, and implementing mappings/transformation in Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Experience with Oracle SQL PLSQL, Unix, Agile methodologies, attention to detail, and ability to work in a distributed team environment.
