We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Content Creator to join our team at Qualcomm. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and impactful illustrations for our technical content in SDKs, APIs, Quick starts, User guides, Videos, etc.

About the Job

">

This is a full-time position that requires a strong understanding of illustration principles and techniques. As a Senior Technical Content Creator, you will work closely with engineers, writers, and subject matter experts to add value to existing technical documentation.

">

You will be responsible for understanding the objectives and requirements of users, developers, OEMs, and technical information (e.g., features, architecture, workflows, sample applications, etc.). You will then develop suitable illustrations that contribute to change from hardcopy PDF experience to user-centered digital design practices across the organization.

In addition to creating professional-quality illustrations, you will identify opportunities for automation and process improvements in technical illustration. You will also research and gather relevant information as required to create draft designs and adhere to standard and brand-approved fonts, color schemes, and other design elements.

Requirements

">

To be successful in this role, you must have minimum 8 years of experience as a Technical Illustrator and strong understanding of illustration principles and techniques. You should be proficient in working with a variety of design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Graphics Suite, Figma, SketchUp, etc.

Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D Animation graphics, light photo editing, and image resizing are essential. Artistic and creative skills to design for complex technical information are also required. Additionally, you should be able to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in an extremely dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

">

A bachelor's degree in Illustration, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or equivalent is preferred. Experience in creating illustrations for hardware designers and software developers, familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and website development and programming languages, such as HTML and CSS, are good to have.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Qualcomm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
