Job Description:

We seek an experienced Software Developer Engineer II to join our dynamic team. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify e-commerce websites for our clients. Your role will involve working closely with our design and development teams to create seamless and visually appealing online stores.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and Customize Shopify Websites: Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify e-commerce websites to meet the needs of our clients.
• Theme Customization: Extend theme's functionality for custom cart, custom filters or similar requirements.
• Data Structure Optimization: Work with data structures for complex data requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with designers and other developers to understand the key problem and implement the solution with the right approach.
• New Feature Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Performance Enhancement: Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Bug Fixing: Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Code Quality Maintenance: Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Front-end JavaScript Libraries: Experience with any of the front-end JavaScript libraries like React, Vue, Svelte, etc.
• Vanilla JavaScript: Competence in Vanilla JavaScript (ES6) including async javascript.
• Liquid and SCSS: Experience in Liquid and SCSS (or tailwind / MUI).
• Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly document and report issues.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.

Key Qualifications:

• 3-5 Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Shopify developer or relevant skills.
• Computer Science Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Shopify Development Experience: Experience with Shopify development is advantageous.
• Data Structure Knowledge: Strong knowledge of shopify data structures is advantageous.
• Portfolio: Portfolio of past projects demonstrating the required skills and experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Liquid Template Language: Familiarity with Shopify's Liquid template language and Shopify's app ecosystem.
• API Testing and Integrations: Experience with API testing and third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, shipping apps).
• Shopify Themes and Plugins: Understanding of Shopify themes, plugins, and how customizations are handled in Shopify stores.
