Oracle Technical Consultant Job Description

 

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced software development professional with a strong background in Oracle technologies. They will have excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Design and develop Oracle VBCS applications, OIC integrations, and Oracle PL/SQL packages
  • Develop OTBI, Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, Smart View for Excel, and Financial Reporting Center
  • Write clear and efficient code to create high-performance applications
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance
  • Maintain and update existing Oracle VBCS applications and Oracle PL/SQL packages
  • Ensure all development work adheres to best practices and complies with company standards
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improvement initiatives

 

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in software development and a bachelor's degree
  • Experience as an Oracle VBCS/OIC Developer or similar role
  • Strong understanding of Oracle development tools and technologies
  • Exposure to JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and REST/SOAP APIs, OTBI, and Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher
  • Proficient in programming using PL/SQL and SQL Concepts
  • Good knowledge of Oracle ERP or Fusion Cloud, Finance modules knowledge preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
