Senior Cloud Architect Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cloud Architect to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining next-gen personal finance applications.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, including API Gateway, WAF, ALB, ECS Fargate, SQS, EventBridge, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS Proxy, ElastiCache Redis, S3, and VPC endpoints. Additionally, they should be proficient in implementing authentication at the edge using Cognito, JWT validation, and rate limiting.

The successful candidate will also possess strong skills in Terraform module creation, GitHub Actions pipeline development, and OIDC integration with IAM. They should be well-versed in observability tools like OpenTelemetry, X-Ray, CloudWatch metrics/logs, AMP/Grafana dashboards, and SLOs & alerts.

In this position, you will collaborate with backend developers to ensure services are fast, secure, and cost-effective. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud architectures on AWS
  • Developing and maintaining Terraform modules and GitHub Actions pipelines
  • Implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms
  • Ensuring data security and compliance with industry standards
  • Maintaining and optimizing cloud resources for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in building production systems on AWS with Terraform and containers
  • Deep understanding of SQS patterns, idempotency, retries, DLQs, and operational Postgres
  • Strong CI/CD chops, including GitHub Actions, Docker, ECR/ECS, and IAM least-privilege mindset
  • Solid understanding of networking/WAF, encryption (TLS/KMS), and observability (OTel/X-Ray/CloudWatch)
  • Pragmatic, ownership-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making

Nice to have:

  • Fintech/PII experience, WAF tuning, cost controls (Budgets/Savings Plans), exposure to Node/TS or Java services in containers
