Job Title: Internal Controls Specialist

 

As a seasoned professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of internal controls within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and execute audit programs, providing consultative support to business units on risk management and compliance.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive audit programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct thorough audits and reviews, adhering to industry-standard practices and testing templates.
  • Collaborate with business units to achieve alignment on audit observations and finalize action plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all audit work papers, adhering to established procedures and quality assurance standards.
  • Provide expert guidance to business teams on enhancing control awareness through GRC/Business Process Controls training programs.
  • Support the implementation of Ethics and Compliance programs, identifying and reporting unusual events/business irregularities and control violations.
  • Participate in Forensic Audits/Fraud Investigations as needed, reporting results and recommending corrective actions.
  • Offer independent counsel to business units regarding compliance requirements and best practices on Internal Controls, ERM, and Audit areas.

 

Required Qualifications:

A Qualified Chartered Accountant (and/or) Cost & Management Accountant with relevant internal audit experience is essential. At least 7-10 years of internal audit experience is required.

Functional/Technical Skills:

Exposure to manufacturing/process industry preferred, with good understanding and hands-on experience of accounting standards viz., Ind AS, US GAAP, IFRS. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office package is also required.

Tech savvy, with good understanding of database systems and ability to employ technology effectively.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written are essential.
