Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and challenge issues related to third-party engagements to ensure they are accurately rated and properly remediated.
  • Evaluate the quality of documentation in systems, consistency of issue ratings, design of remediation activities, and appropriateness of target dates considering risk exposure.
  • Verify evidence submitted with closure requests adequately supports completion of all remediation plan(s), including operational implementation.
  • Follow up with issue owners and internal teams to facilitate timely closure/risk acceptance of open issues and periodic reassessment of risk acceptances.
  • Assist with MIS/reporting, ensuring actionable reporting to stakeholders and managing escalations.
  • Lead initiatives across the enterprise to address process challenges and improvements related to third-party management.
  • Collaborate with IT resources for data enhancement and system enhancements to meet organizational needs for tracking and resolving third-party issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of information security and operational risks in the financial services industry, as well as best practices to mitigate them.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to interact with senior individuals, analyze assertions, and disagree or challenge professionally if needed.
  • Analytical capabilities to review findings data, identify trends, and support development of management reports.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to demonstrate initiative in difficult circumstances.
  • High ethical standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a focus in information security, risk management, compliance.
  • Overall work experience within the financial services sector (7+ years).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Power BI is a plus.
  • Subject matter expertise and proven track record in managing third-party risks preferred.
  • Industry certifications like CISSP, CTPRP, CRVPM, Six Sigma-Certified is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulation and standards such as MAS, FRB, EBA, OCC, NIST, ISO is a plus.
