Business Insights Analyst

About the Position:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Insights Analyst with expertise in SQL and Python to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collect, clean, and transform structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, aggregate, and analyze large volumes of data.
  • Use Python for data manipulation, automation, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and KPIs.
  • Support data validation, quality checks, and governance practices.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Insights Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (query optimization, joins, CTEs, window functions).
  • Knowledge/Experience in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn for analysis & visualization).
  • Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and analytical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills):

  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Exposure to ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of statistics and basic machine learning concepts.

  • Accuracy and timeliness of data analysis.
  • Quality of insights and recommendations.
  • Effective communication of results to stakeholders.
