Job Title

We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead our field operations and oversee relationships with farmers.

The successful candidate will have previous experience managing people and farmer relationships, as well as a passion for animal welfare.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the ARA program.
  • Supervise the implementation of ARA protocols and experiments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry.
  • Conduct audits and quality control to ensure adherence to protocols.
  • Farm Relationships:
  • Build and maintain relationships with ARA farmers.
  • Obtain stocking, harvest, and other farm information at timely intervals and update our data accordingly.
  • Spend time in the field engaging with staff, farmers, and other stakeholders.
  • Scaling and Strategic Assistance:
  • Provide input during strategic meetings with FWI leadership.
  • Lead the process of enrolling new farms in the ARA.
Key Qualifications
  • Nationality: Eligibility to work in India.
  • Experience with field programs: 1 year of experience managing field programs in development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors.
  • Language: Fluency in oral and written Telugu and English.
  • Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required. Extensive field work expected in surrounding villages.
  • Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or greater in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Social Sciences, or other sciences.
  • Technical expertise: Previous experience with water quality analysis and management in aquaculture.
