About the Job:

The Product Strategy Team is seeking a seasoned professional to drive the SAS Enterprise Software Platform Product Strategy. As a key member of this team, you will lead and support global customers on evaluating, prioritizing, and aligning customer requirements with future releases of SAS Viya.

You will partner with software engineering, customer support, and enablement teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibilities will include communicating product functionality and knowledge to internal stakeholders, promoting the benefits of SAS solutions to customers, partners, and community members.

You will own and communicate the latest developments in SAS across platform products, working closely with customer advisory teams to develop and champion modernization paths for customers transitioning to the latest version of the SAS Viya ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Define and prioritize product requirements based on business drivers, customer inputs, market direction, and field contribution.
  2. Translate business requirements into technical, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  3. Develop user personas and write use cases.
  4. Drive product development and collaborate with software development teams.
  5. Present product vision, roadmap, and software demonstrations to internal stakeholders, customers, and others.
  6. Identify new markets and evaluate emerging technology and business issues that may present opportunities or threats to the company.
  7. Develop business plans including recommended actions for emerging technology and business issues that present opportunities or threats to SAS.
  8. Collaborate with SAS Managed Services teams to ensure hosted customers continue to derive value from their SAS investments in SAS Viya.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with customers, partners, and industry analysts.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with a demonstrated history of making good decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to innovate and define creative solutions with compelling user experiences that exceed customer expectations.
  • At least 8 years of experience in product management or related functions in the technology industry.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, computer science, or a related discipline.
