Job Title: Network Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance network infrastructure at our data centre and disaster recovery (DR) site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Installation, Upgrade, and Migration: Responsible for installing, upgrading, and migrating network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices.
  • Incident Management: Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly to ensure high network uptime.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize network performance by configuring and tuning network protocols, such as VLANs, STP, DTP, Trunking, Stacking, Ethernet channel, DOT1Q, ISL, SVI, etc.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Utilize tools like Cisco IOS, PRTG, NetFlow, etc., to monitor network performance and generate regular reports.
  • Configuration Management: Manage configuration changes for switches/routers when needed and periodically backup configurations.
  • Liaison with DR Team: Collaborate with the Disaster Recovery team to investigate and resolve network issues at the DR site.
Requirements
  • Expertise in Switching, Routing, and Network Equipment: Possess a deep understanding of switching, routing, and network equipment, including their configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Leaf & Spine Architecture: Familiarity with Leaf & Spine Architecture in Data Centre is essential.
  • IPv4, IPv6, NTP, ACLs, Route-map, Prefix-Lists, PBR, AAA, TACAS, RADIUS, CEF, IPv6 CEF, SLA, TRACK, SNMP, EEM, Syslog, Flow-export, RADIO, EVPN-VXLAN: Good knowledge of these technologies is required.
  • EMS Tools: Familiarity with EMS tools is expected.
  • IOS Upgradation, Change Request Management: Ability to manage change requests and perform IOS upgrades.
