Staff Software Engineer Role

We seek an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our SaaS Connectors team, focusing on enhancing and managing connectors to SaaS applications like Workday, Salesforce, GCP, and AWS.

This role will design, build, and maintain scalable solutions that match application features and ensure seamless integration.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior engineering teams in major development projects, designing and implementing efficient solutions
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, including Architects, QA, Product, Technical Support, Documentation, and UX teams, to understand application-specific protocols and build robust connectors
  • Analyze and refine requirements with Product Management to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and implement quick prototypes to validate scalability and performance
  • Design and implement features with functional and unit tests, along with monitoring and alerts, to ensure high-quality solutions
  • Conduct code reviews, analysis, and performance tuning to optimize system efficiency
  • Work with the QA team to outline and implement comprehensive test coverage for application-specific features
  • Troubleshoot and support customer issues, debugging from logs (Splunk, Syslogs, etc.)
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements

The ideal candidate has significant experience building software systems to manage and deploy reliable and performant infrastructure and product code at scale on cloud infrastructure.

A minimum of 3 years of software development experience in Java, preferably with SCIM and Spring Boot expertise.

Additionally, 3+ years of experience developing services, internal tools, and frameworks, as well as 2+ years of experience automating and deploying large-scale production services in AWS, GCP, or similar.

Deep understanding of infrastructure-level technologies, including caching, stream processing, and resilient architectures, along with experience working with RESTful APIs and SOAP APIs.

Ability to effectively collaborate with distributed teams and individuals with diverse backgrounds, as well as lead and mentor junior engineers.
