Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished finance leader to drive our finance and accounts function.

\

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Management:\
    • \
    • Develop and implement financial strategies to support operations.\
    • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.\
    • Analyse financial performance and provide insights to inform decision-making.\
    \
  • Accounting & Reporting:\
    • \
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.\
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management information reports.\
    • Lead audits and ensure effective closure of audit points.\
    \
  • Cost Control & Project Accounting:\
    • \
    • Continuously improve project accounting systems for new builds and repair jobs.\
    • Monitor project-wise cost estimates, budgets, and actuals; highlight variances and drive corrective actions.\
    • Support pricing strategies, cost estimation, and bid support for contracts.\
    • Explore cost optimisation avenues.\

  • Compliance & Risk Management:\
    • \
    • Ensure adherence to all applicable financial, tax, and regulatory compliance requirements.\
    • Develop internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.\
    • Liaise with legal and regulatory authorities as needed.\
    • Promote policy advocacy on tax matters.\

  • Treasury & Working Capital Management:\
    • \
    • Optimise working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables.\
    • Evaluate financing options for capital expenditure and project needs.\
    • Cash-flow management.\
    • Optimise use of non-funded facilities.\
    \
  • Team Leadership:\
    • \
    • Lead and develop the finance and accounts team to ensure high performance and accountability.\
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and financial discipline.\
    \

Qualifications & Experience:

\

A Chartered Accountant (CA) with 20-25 years of experience, at least 8 years in a leadership role, preferably in heavy engineering or EPC industries. Proven expertise in project finance, cost control, and strategic financial management.

  • Strong financial acumen.\
  • In-depth knowledge of project-based accounting and costing.\
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.\
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.\
