Procurement Manager Pharmaceutical

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to lead our pharmaceutical procurement efforts.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to develop and execute a centralized procurement strategy for pharmaceutical products across all trust hospitals. The successful candidate will have excellent negotiation and vendor relationship management skills, as well as strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Centralized Procurement Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a centralized procurement strategy for pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and drug licensing requirements.
  • Negotiate Contracts and Manage Suppliers: Negotiate contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers to optimize pricing and terms.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory management system to optimize stock levels and minimize wastage.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulations, drug licensing requirements, and storage norms, maintaining proper documentation for drug procurement, storage, and distribution.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field, Master's degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management preferred.
  • Experience: 8-12 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably in hospital/healthcare settings.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, compliance requirements, and drug storage, handling, and distribution protocols.
  • Key Competencies: Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
