Job Title: Advanced Data Architect

As a seasoned Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, you will be responsible for analyzing the current Power BI tenant environment, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing governance structures to streamline workspace creation, ownership, access, and lifecycle.

  • Analyze usage patterns and workspace structure to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
  • Develop customized metrics and reports to support monitoring, alerting, and insights into Power BI tenant usage.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to integrate telemetry data into Microsoft Fabric.
  • Create reusable templates and processes for long-term workspace monitoring and governance.
  • Provide technical documentation and handover plans at the end of the engagement.

Requirements:

  • Computer science degree or equivalent training or experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (including tenant-level administration and monitoring).
  • Strong expertise in Power BI governance and lifecycle management.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with or customizing the Fabric Usage and Monitoring (FUAM) toolkit or similar frameworks.
  • Good understanding of innovative BI solution development.
  • Advanced SQL and DAX skills.
  • Scripting and automation experience (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
