Highly Available Technical Operations Lead

We are seeking a technical operations lead to drive the stability, scalability and operational excellence of our accounting and finance platforms.

  • About the Role:
  • The ideal candidate will own day-to-day operations for these applications, ensuring they run smoothly and meet business expectations.
  • This includes leading incident response and implementing monitoring, automation, and alerting systems to ensure high availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure Accounting and Finance applications run smoothly and meet business expectations.
  • Reliability & Availability: Implement strategies to maintain or improve SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for performance, reliability, and uptime.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Build automation for deployments, scaling, self-healing capabilities to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, logging for accounting applications, data pipelines.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field.
  • 12-15 years experience in site reliability engineering, devops, or production engineering, ideally supporting financial applications.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, financial system integrations from an operational support perspective.
  • Proven ability to manage incident response, conduct postmortems.

Must Have Skills:

  • SRE
  • SQL
  • Snowflake OR Databricks
  • DevOps OR CICD OR GitHub Actions
  • Monitoring/Observability Tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)

Nice To Have:

  • Experience supporting financial applications (ERP, revenue recognition systems).
  • Exposure to FinOps practices for optimizing cloud spend in finance-related platforms.
