Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly technical and metrics-driven Information Security Specialist who can collaborate with development teams, business teams, and cross-functional technology. As an Information Security Specialist, you should have experience in web application vulnerabilities, vulnerability scanning tools, and working with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.

  • The security team is focused on process optimization and automation to improve effectiveness. You must be able to report, quantify stats, trends, and metrics to quantify risk and results.
About the Role:
  • This position will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with web applications and infrastructure.
  • You will work closely with development teams to implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and technologies is essential for this role.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent information security experience
  • Experienced security professional with strong knowledge of web application security, including OWASP Top 10 and enterprise environments
  • 2+ years in web application vulnerability discovery, remediation, and scanning, using web application vulnerability scanning tools e.g., Nexpose, Nessus, Burp Suite, White Hat, Nmap
  • Skilled in incident response, vulnerability remediation, and coordinating across teams
  • Knowledge of IT security policies, application/server/middleware security, and cloud security
  • Experience maintaining and maturing a Vulnerability Management Program
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Experience with Rapid7 InsightAppSec (IAS) or equivalent
