Project Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a critical member of the project management group, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing project plans, drawings, and technical specifications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review Drawings: Review drawings received from clients to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  2. Scope of Work: Compute the scope of work based on drawings, including tonnage, diameter, and square meters.
  3. Material Management: Check Material Take-Off (MTO) for the scope of work and materials received at the yard.
  4. Scheduling: Plan and schedule project targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  5. Inspection and Test Plans: Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and follow requirements.
  6. Purchase Requisitions: Prepare purchase requisitions for procurement of MTO.
  7. Vendor Reviews: Review vendor proposals for specifications and quantity.
  8. Material Control Charts: Maintain material control charts and reconcile free-issue materials from clients.
  9. Manpower and Tools: Handle manpower and tools/equipment at site.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institute.
  • Preferably additional qualifications in Piping Engineering and Design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • ASNT Level II Qualifications in RT/UT/MPI and LPT.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
