Job Title: Chemical Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to play a key role in process design, performance evaluation, and customer support. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and optimizing column internals such as trays, structured packings, random packings, distributors, and demisters.

The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting process simulations and calculations for distillation, absorption, and stripping applications.

Additionally, the Chemical Engineer will work closely with mechanical and production teams to ensure the design feasibility and manufacturing compatibility of internals.

The Chemical Engineer will also perform hydraulic and efficiency calculations to recommend suitable internals for specific process requirements.

Moreover, the Chemical Engineer will collaborate with sales and marketing teams to provide technical support and customer consultations.

Finally, the Chemical Engineer will evaluate and troubleshoot operational issues in installed column internals to enhance performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  1. A graduate degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
  2. 2-5 years of process design experience
  3. Experience in mass transfer or column internals manufacturing
  4. Optional proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or ChemCAD
  5. Strong understanding of distillation, absorption, extraction, and phase separation principles
  6. Knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat & mass transfer, thermodynamics and pressure drop calculations
  7. Experience with technical drawings and CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus
