Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage our team of engineers delivering AI-integrated backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong execution skills, and experience leading teams that deliver production-grade software.

About the Role:

The leader will work closely with Product and AI teams to drive architecture, delivery, and performance across backend systems that power our agentic automation platform. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring comfort diving into code, designing scalable systems, and setting a high bar for engineering quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers delivering AI-integrated backend systems
  • Design and review architecture for scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Guide and unblock engineers across design, implementation, and deployment
  • Ensure clean, well-tested code and solid system observability
  • Partner with AI, DevOps, and Product to turn concepts into shipped features
  • Drive planning, estimates, and team-level execution
  • Own hiring, mentorship, and growth within your team

Requirements:

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in backend engineering
  • At least 1 to 2 years in a tech lead or engineering manager role
  • Strong in system design, API design, and service-oriented architecture
  • Proficient in .NET Core (preferred) or similar backend stacks like Python or Node.js
  • Experience building distributed systems using microservices and message queues
  • Familiarity with AI, LLM APIs, or agent-based workflows (integration or conceptual understanding is sufficient)
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
  • Proficiency in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proven track record of delivering production systems in high-performance environments
  • Experience with Kafka, Redis, or other event-streaming and data caching systems
  • Exposure to prompt engineering or chaining LLM APIs into workflows
  • Experience hiring and building high-performing engineering teams
