Data Engineer Position Overview

Our company is seeking an experienced data engineer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale data pipelines in Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex data acquisition pipelines for structured and unstructured data
  • Create datasets based on business requirements
  • Develop 'big data' pipeline architecture
  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition through stakeholder engagement
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Leverage Google Cloud tools such as Python, Data Flow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage
  • Monitor pipelines using logs and alerts
  • Use SAP SLT to replicate SAP tables to Google Cloud
  • Develop JSON messaging structure for integration with various applications
  • Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices for reliability and scalability
  • Partition, cluster, and retrieve content in Big Query while securing data with IAM roles and Policy Tags
  • Recommend ways to improve data quality, reliability, and efficiency

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in GCP data engineering (offshore)
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with GCP tools (Python, SQL, Data Flow, DataStream, CDC, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage)
