Automation Quality Engineer Job Description

As an Automation Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping our testing strategy and ensuring the highest quality of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks to support various applications.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, evaluate tools and technologies, and implement best practices in testing. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and maintaining robust automated testing processes that meet the needs of our clients.

  • Thought Leadership:
  • Lead the development of automation solutions that drive business value and improve software quality
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing strategies and roadmap for projects
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java/JavaScript programming languages and relevant frameworks
  • Develop and execute automated tests for web services and microservices using Webservices/Microservices automation
  • Test Automation:
  • Develop and execute automated tests for UI and API automation using Selenium/Cucumber/Appium/SOAPUI
  • Implement continuous testing strategies and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 10-14 years of overall testing experience with at least 4+ years of in-depth experience in establishing test automation frameworks, evaluating tools, and implementing continuous testing strategies
  • Hands-on experience in Java/JavaScript programming languages and relevant frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of QA automation tools such as Selenium/Cucumber/Appium/SOAPUI etc.
  • Experience in cloud platforms such as Sauce Labs, Perfecto Functional tools like Selenium (mandate), Webdriver IO, NightWatchJS etc.
  • Basic knowledge of JMeter or any other equivalent performance testing tool
  • Sound knowledge of methodologies and approaches such as Agile, BDD, DevOps etc.
