Job Posting: Senior Database Developer

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Database Developer to join our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and administering high-availability databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers using MySQL and MS SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to translate data requirements into efficient database designs.
  • Perform data modeling and create ER diagrams.
  • Optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
  • Implement indexing strategies and query optimization techniques.
  • Monitor database performance metrics and proactively resolve issues.
  • Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery plans for MySQL and MS SQL.
  • Ensure database security, access control, and data integrity.
  • Handle patching, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for system-to-system data integration.
  • Implement data warehousing solutions for reporting and analytics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6–7 years of proven experience as a Database Developer (MySQL & MS SQL).
  • Expert-level SQL programming (T-SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and normalization.
  • Experience with performance tuning and large-scale database optimization.
  • Proficiency in administration tasks (backup, recovery, security, replication).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data integration.
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
