Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Tech Lead. This individual will be responsible for leading our development team and overseeing the implementation of new technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript. They should also have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and improving current back-end applications and processes, collaborating with team members to establish objectives and design functional code, and developing ideas for new programs and features.

Responsibilities include:

  • Compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design functional, cohesive code to enhance the user experience.
  • Develop ideas for new programs, products, or features by monitoring industry developments and trends.
  • Record data and report it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
  • Take lead on projects, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10-14 years of experience with primary expertise in Ruby on Rails and familiarity with JavaScript front-end technologies.
  • Strong understanding of web development cycles and programming techniques and tools.
  • Focused on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or with a group.
