Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Production Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in production operations, system support, or devops roles and possess strong technical skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Response: Continuously monitor production systems and job pipelines; respond promptly to alerts and anomalies.
  • Troubleshooting Operational Issues: Troubleshoot operational issues in collaboration with the development team.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents using logs, metrics, and observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana).
  • Recovery Actions: Perform recovery actions such as restarting pods, rerunning jobs, or applying known mitigations.
  • Kubernetes Environment Management: Operate in Kubernetes environments to inspect, debug, and manage components.
  • Deployment Support: Support deployment activities through post-release validations and basic checks.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Validate data quality and flag anomalies to the relevant engineering teams.
  • Documentation Maintenance: Maintain clear documentation of incidents, actions taken, and resolution outcomes.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with remote teams for operational handoffs and follow-ups.

Required Qualifications:

  • Production Operations Experience: Experience in production operations, system support, or devops roles.
  • Linux Skills: Solid Linux skills (e.g., file system navigation, log analysis, process/network troubleshooting).
  • Kubernetes and Docker Expertise: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
  • Observability Tools Familiarity: Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus).
  • English Language Proficiency: English proficiency for reading, writing, and asynchronous communication.
  • Execution Discipline: Strong execution discipline and ability to follow structured operational procedures.
