The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing tax advisory engagements independently with minimal supervision.
  • Delivering tax opinions, short notes, or email responses on clients' tax matters.
  • Ensuring tax compliances, such as filing tax returns, withholding tax statements, advance tax, provisioning for income tax, and other tax filings.
  • Managing tax assessments/litigation proceedings before assessing officers, income tax authorities, and higher appellate forums.
  • Training assistant managers and executives for professional development and creating a stronger bench.
  • Delivering tax technology assets through licensing or internal managed services.
  • Acting as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for end-to-end tax operate engagements.
  • Managing internal client codes from time logging, invoicing, and collections.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and leveraging existing ones.
  • Collaborating with other tax services lines/business functions for multi-disciplinary client requirements.

Key qualifications include:

  • CA - 5-7 years' experience in Direct Taxation.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Analytical skills and conceptual clarity.
  • Attention to detail and innovation thinking.
  • Time and cost management skills.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
