We are seeking a skilled freelance womenswear designer to collaborate with our team on a project basis.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing for international markets, specifically the UK and USA, and possess a strong understanding of commercial viability, originality, and brand identity.
- Design high-quality womenswear collections based on mood boards and brand direction.
- Balance commercial appeal with creative flair and attention to detail.
- Develop expertise in prints, embroideries, and surface detailing within designs.
- Create detailed technical specifications, including accurate measurements, stitch details, trims, embroidery placements, and finishing notes.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a global lifestyle brand that blends artisanal craftsmanship with modern silhouettes.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with our design team to create production-ready CADs, spec sheets, and tech packs.
- Work closely with our product development team to ensure smooth sampling and development.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in womenswear design for international markets (UK & USA).
- Background working with both boutique and high-street brands.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop or similar design software.
- Ability to create detailed technical specifications.
- Understanding of fabrics, finishes, trims, and wash techniques.
- Familiarity with the sampling and development process.
- Skilled in print and embroidery development.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within project timelines.
