Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled backend developer to fill a critical role in our tech stack. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the server-side of enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming experience in Python or Node.js, with proficiency in SQL databases and NoSQL databases. They will also have experience with ORM tools, API best practices, and asynchronous programming.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement backend services using Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) or Node.js (Express, NestJS).
  • Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for enterprise apps.
  • Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, SSO).
  • Optimize backend performance with caching, query tuning, and async processing.
  • Build modular, reusable, and testable backend code.
  • Deploy applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong programming experience in Python or Node.js.
  • Proficiency in SQL databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with ORM tools.
  • Knowledge of API best practices.
  • Understanding of enterprise system architecture.
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming.
