Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This key role will be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring seamless financial transactions and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Invoice Management
  • Generate, review, and process customer invoices accurately and promptly, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all invoices are properly accounted for and recorded in the financial system.
  • Collections & Payments
  • Monitor outstanding accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments to minimize delays.
  • Coordinate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and issues efficiently.
  • Process incoming payments, including checks, wire transfers, and electronic payments, ensuring timely deposit into the company's bank account.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger regularly to guarantee all payments are accurately reflected in the financial records.
  • Prepare detailed reports on accounts receivable status, aging reports, and cash flow projections to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Controls & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting external/internal audits to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing issues and enhance processes.
  • Provide support during month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a related area.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel is required.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with customers and colleagues professionally.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
