Job Title: Unix Support Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix Support Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our support team, you will provide level 2 or level 3 support for Unix in a mission-critical banking environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements.
  • Operate under ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem/Knowledge).
  • Maintain high availability, performance, and security; participate in DR/BCP drills.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
  • Tune configurations and schedule jobs to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate with vendors (TAC cases, firmware/patch planning) and validate post-change health.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation, runbook hygiene, and clear communication with operations, security, audit, and business stakeholders.
  • Display an ownership mindset with readiness for 24x7 support and on-call rotation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in Unix support (level 2)
  • 10+ years of experience in Unix support (level 3)
