Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and implement new financial processes and systems using IBM Cognos TM1 platform and capabilities.
  • Lead and support Business As Usual (BAU) functions, including month-end maintenance, environment preparation, and rollout activities.
  • Train and troubleshoot for team members and business partners.
  • Take the lead in end-to-end architecture, design, build, and implementation of new financial processes or enrichment/customization of existing processes.
  • Consistently improve current financial processes through automation, enhanced controls, and best practices.
  • Lead and contribute to the assessment and improvement of process impact on the platform/server.
  • Drive value to customers by leveraging existing and new capabilities.
  • Manage a team of professionals, including engagement, career pathing, goals, development plans, and performance conversations.

Requirements:
  • Project experience in designing, building, managing technology solutions for finance processes, particularly IBM Cognos TM1, with emphasis on problem-solving, data integrity, and automation.
  • Strong experience with Agile framework and associated toolset, such as Rally, Confluence, and Jira.
  • Strong understanding and experience of Amex Investment Optimization functions and processes.
  • Strong understanding of American Express business processes and financial systems.
  • Ability to think short and long term to identify and manage processes and resources.
  • Ability to problem-solve and identify opportunities.
  • Strong people management skills, including guiding and motivating.
  • Strong communication skills.
