About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our CoreLLM team at ServiceNow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and leveraging high-quality datasets to advance Large Language Models (LLMs).

Your primary focus will be on generating use case specific synthetic data, conducting research on its strengths and limitations, and using it to train cutting-edge models. You will work closely with our team to design comprehensive evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness of model performance.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong technical foundation in machine learning and AI, with hands-on experience in applied machine learning and synthetic data generation. You will also have a comprehensive understanding of LLM frameworks and be familiar with Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and generate various types of synthetic data for model training.
  • Conducting experiments to assess the quality of synthetic data.
  • Train models using the curated dataset.
  • Design comprehensive evaluation metrics to measure the effectiveness model's performance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in Machine Learning and AI Projects.
  • Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Experience working with machine learning, deep learning, and LLM-related infrastructure.
  • Experience in training transformer-based language models and their variants (T5, BART, BERT etc)
  • Experience in using GPUs to train deep learning models
  • Good knowledge of solving industrial problems using deep learning models with NLP related use-cases
  • Experience in reading papers and implementing algorithms described in papers.
  • An advanced degree in computer science (MS/PhD) with a major in Natural Language Processing.
