Production Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to lead our production team in delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crafting Production Strategies: Develop and implement effective production plans that meet business objectives.
  • Managing Resources: Oversee the allocation of manpower, machinery, materials, and finances to ensure seamless production operations.
  • Maintaining Quality Standards: Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensuring Operational Efficiency: Identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Safety First: Enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-15 years of experience in freight car business and wagon manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in computer software programs like Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of production processes and procedures, including welding, assembly, and testing.

  • Wagon engineering and manufacturing knowledge.
  • Experience with large-scale production projects.
  • Understanding of quality control and safety regulations in rail industry/heavy fabrication industries.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies.
