Job Overview

As a Business Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the effective governance of our business.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the business and relevant inherent risks.
  • Develop and nurture strong working relationships with management to understand business plans and areas which may result in increased risk.

You will be accountable for ensuring there is a framework for effective management of Conduct and Operational risks across the business and in compliance with applicable policies and external laws & regulations.

  • Ensure timely assessment of residual risks at group level.
  • Accountable for embedding the Operational Risk Framework and Enterprise Risk Management Framework linked to the Affluent segment processes.
  • Support senior leaders to execute responsibilities as outlined in the Group ERMF.

You will maintain a strong control environment covering the Private Bank business including monitoring to ensure compliance with applicable policies/procedures.

  • Update RCSA, RRA and submissions in M7 and other reporting systems.
  • Restrict business if existing infrastructure and processes are not fit to execute business within operational risk tolerance or regulatory standards.

You will also be responsible for managing regulatory audit/inspections on teams.

  • Support countries where required ensure audit preparedness and achieving good MCA and CE scores.

In addition, you will evaluate processes across Client Journeys to ensure controls and governance are in place for any initiatives rolled out globally.

  • Coordinate data remediation plans and provide governance oversight to ensure full compliance with Data Quality Management Framework (DQMF).

You will input to the design of global processes and controls ensuring local requirements are considered, while adhering to Group standards.

  • Treatment plans (both country and group level) are tracked to meet target residual risk state.
