As a skilled Motion Designer and Video Content Creator, you will play a key role in crafting compelling stories that break down complex topics into clean, visually appealing narratives.
- You will design and animate explainer videos in a style similar to Coinbase Learn, working closely with scriptwriters, product teams, and creative leads to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Transform scripts and storyboards into polished motion videos, maintaining brand style guides and animation principles while optimizing for various platforms.
- Collaborate with copywriters and subject matter experts to simplify complex content, ensuring it resonates with diverse audiences.
- Create animated assets (charts, UI flows, crypto concepts) and edit voiceovers, sync audio, and apply subtle sound design to enhance the overall viewer experience.
- Maintain brand consistency across all video formats, from YouTube to social media.
Key Tools:
- Adobe After Effects - primary tool for motion graphics.
- Figma / Adobe Illustrator - design and export vector assets.
- Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve - for final cuts & audio sync.
- Audacity / Adobe Audition - voice cleanup, background audio.
- Descript - for AI-powered video editing & transcription.
- Experience sourcing royalty-free music (Artlist, Epidemic Sound).
- Comfortable with AI voiceover tools (like ElevenLabs) or studio VO.
- Blender (optional) - For 3D animations or visual flair.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years in motion design, video content creation, or explainer video production.
- A solid portfolio of 2D or motion graphic explainers (crypto or fintech domain is a big plus).
- Strong storytelling ability and comfort working with abstract concepts.
- Ability to work under creative direction while also proposing improvements.
- Bonus: familiarity with Web3, tokens, wallets, or DeFi systems.
