Job Description:

As a Senior Assistant Director, you will lead and manage activities in the food regulatory affairs department. Your primary responsibility is to drive policy initiatives that promote the growth of the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Indian food regulations and policies.
  • Engage with government bodies on policy matters.
  • Liaise with food business stakeholders, other organizations, startups, and corporate leaders.

Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and executing events such as conferences, summits, roundtable discussions, policy dialogues, and delegations.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./B.Tech.) / Master's degree (M.Sc./M.Tech.). Preferably food technology.
  • 7-15 years of work experience in a similar field.
  • Prior experience in food regulatory affairs, policy, advocacy, program organization, and Industry & Government connections shall be preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent research, report-writing, and policy analysis skills. Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills are also essential for this role.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing industry representations/concept notes/guidelines/knowledge papers/proposals for organizing sector-specific programs
  2. Preparing presentations
  3. Increasing membership base and raising sponsorships
  4. Leading and motivating the team

This position requires flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and multitasking abilities. You must have strong organizational skills and ability to learn quickly.
