Video Editor Position

Our organization is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team and contribute to the creation of compelling video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editing long-form and short-form videos and experience in films, short films, or documentaries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping our visual narrative, ensuring every piece aligns with our brand and communicates our mission effectively. This includes:

  • Editing engaging content across formats for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and more.
  • Collaborating closely with the content and production team to bring stories to life through video.
  • Executing seamless transitions, sound syncing, and pacing to retain viewer attention.
  • Handling post-production tasks including color correction, sound design, and visual effects.
  • Integrating text overlays, music, SFX, and B-roll to enrich storytelling.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Designing custom animations: intros/outros, lower-thirds, animated transitions, and dynamic overlays.
  • Using motion graphics to reinforce messaging and elevate the final creative output.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Abode After Effects, or similar.
  • A strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and timing in video editing.
  • Knowledge of color grading, sound editing, and visual effects.
  • Attention to detail and creativity in crafting visually appealing and engaging videos.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 2-3 years of experience in video editing, particularly in short films, long-form content, or documentaries.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of edited video work, including both short and long formats.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to tight deadlines.
