About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Intivion Technologies.

Job Overview:

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of various software products by thoroughly testing them. This involves close collaboration with the development team, UX designers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Strategy: Design and develop detailed test plans for new and existing products, collaborate with the development, UX, and product management teams to understand product requirements and use cases, define the scope, objectives, and deliverables for each testing cycle.
  • Test Case Creation and Execution: Create and document comprehensive test cases based on product specifications, perform manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications to identify bugs, issues, and performance bottlenecks, ensure thorough regression, functional, and integration testing is conducted.
  • Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate defect management tools, report test progress and issues to higher management, ensuring transparency in project status, work closely with developers to reproduce issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to understand new features and improvements, collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the product meets user expectations, interact with stakeholders to provide insights into testing results and overall quality.
  • Automation (Future Scope): Learn and adopt automation testing tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage, write automated scripts for repetitive test cases, ensuring faster releases.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Manual Testing: Experience in manual testing of web, mobile, or desktop applications.
  • Test Case Design: Ability to write clear, comprehensive, and detailed test cases.
  • Bug Tracking Tools: Experience with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Trello).
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem Solving: Good analytical skills and attention to detail to detect defects and resolve issues.
  • Automation (Bonus): Knowledge or hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Methodologies and Processes: Exposure to Agile methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
  • Scripting or Programming Knowledge: Basic scripting or programming knowledge for future automation initiatives.
