About this Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Investment Professional to join our team. As the Chief Investment Officer, you will be responsible for leading the investment process from sourcing to execution.

  • Sourcing & Thesis: Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of investment opportunities across various sectors. Develop and refresh thematic theses to identify non-obvious opportunities. Represent the company at ecosystem events and engage with founders through small-format founder circles.
  • Evaluation & IC Prep: Run fast screens and deep dives on potential investments. Prepare materials for an efficient Investment Committee cadence.
  • Diligence Leadership (LDD/FDD/Tech/Commercial): Define diligence scope, manage external partners, and synthesize findings into go/no-go recommendations.
  • Transaction Execution: Support term sheet design, coordinate with counsel, and maintain accurate closing files.
  • Portfolio Support & Follow-ons: Onboard new portfolio companies, drive targeted help, and track portfolio health.
  • Finance, Reporting & Ops: Partner with finance on allocations, report on funnel metrics, and build internal playbooks.

Requirements

  • Background: Ex-founder/operator or investor with deal evaluation experience. Comfort spanning seed to growth stages.
  • Networked: Credible access across founders, angels, bankers, and operators. Strong network within India is preferred.
  • Analytical: Strong grasp of unit economics, cohort retention, marketplaces, SaaS metrics, working-capital cycles, and path to profitability.
  • Diligence-ready: Hands-on with LDD/FDD scopes; ability to frame key questions and pressure-test assumptions.
  • Execution: Structured writer (memos), fast modeler (Excel/Sheets), and organized operator (pipeline discipline).
  • Style: Hustle, bias to action, low-ego; founder-friendly communicator with high empathy.
