As a seasoned data engineering expert, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data pipelines that seamlessly integrate external systems and interfaces.

The ideal candidate will possess 4-8 years of experience in backend/data engineering and have proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Azure, and PostgreSQL.

The successful candidate will be accountable for crafting efficient crawling/fetch pipelines using API-first approaches with playwright/requests where permitted, parsing/normalizing job postings & CVs, deduplicating/delta logic, and embedding/similarity search utilizing Azure OpenAI and pgvector.

Additionally, the candidate will develop integrations with HR4YOU, SerpAPI, BA job board, email/SMTP, and batch/stream processing using Azure Functions/container jobs, ensuring high-quality data processing and telemetry for data quality collaboration with frontend teams for exports and admin configuration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing sophisticated data pipelines that optimize performance and scalability
  • Designing and implementing robust crawling/fetch mechanisms to collect relevant data
  • Ensuring seamless integration of external systems and interfaces through efficient data processing

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of backend/data engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Python (FastAPI, pydantic, httpx/requests, Playwright/Selenium), TypeScript, and Azure (Functions/Container Apps or AKS jobs, Storage/Blob, Key Vault, Monitor/Log Analytics)
  • Messaging: Service Bus/Queues, idempotence & exactly-once semantics, and pragmatic approach
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, pgvector, query design & performance tuning
  • Clean ETL/ELT patterns, testability (pytest), observability (OpenTelemetry)
