Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at NTT DATA. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing managed services to clients to ensure the smooth operation of their IT infrastructure and systems. You will work proactively to monitor, identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems, restoring service to clients in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity, focusing on AIX, VIO, and HMC.
  • Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers, as well as support AIX OS to run various software applications.
  • Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS, developing procedures for AIX security and management.
  • Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system environment, identifying and resolving system issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform maintenance routines to ensure continuous system availability, developing and implementing disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Work in 24X7 shifts, with flexibility to work outside of business hours to support critical issues.
  • Monitor server availability, disk, CPU, and memory utilization, as well as manage file systems, user accounts, and OS hardening.
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, using incident, request, problem, and change management processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in managing and maintaining AIX and Linux infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AIX, VIO, and HMC.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCNA, or equivalent, are highly valued.
