Job Title: Data Protection Leader

Location:

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection professional to join our Cyber & Risk practice as a senior leader. The role involves leading and executing data protection engagements, ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations, and embedding data protection-by-design into client processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage data protection projects across industries, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs).
  • Design, review, and enhance data protection policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Implement and monitor data protection controls, including data subject rights and consent management mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Risk functions to ensure data protection compliance in technology and business processes.
  • Drive awareness sessions and training programs on data protection.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients on data protection risks and compliance gaps.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in data protection, information security, or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with data protection audits, assessments, and compliance programs.
  • Exposure to ISO 27001 and other data protection/security frameworks.
  • Ability to manage client engagements, lead teams, and deliver projects within timelines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CIPM/CIPP/E/CISM/CISA or equivalent data protection/security certifications.
  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor is an advantage.
