The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical and operational performance of 3-4 bulk carrier ships, ensuring safe and efficient operations that meet all international marine requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Management and Operations: Ensure the routine and preventive maintenance of our vessels to maintain optimal performance and safety.
- Health, Safety, and Environment Compliance: Guarantee adherence to international regulations and best practices to minimize environmental impact and protect crew and vessel well-being.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with our financial teams to develop and manage budgets that support our fleet's operational needs.
- Human Capital Development and People Management: Foster a positive work environment by developing and motivating your team members to achieve their full potential.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including crew, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- A Marine Engineer degree or equivalent; a business or related discipline background is an added advantage.
- At least one year of experience as a Chief Engineer on Dry Bulk carriers.
- At least three years of experience as a technical superintendent focused on Dry Bulk carriers.
- Experience in completing dry docking and PSC inspections is required.
- You have demonstrated high-quality technical and managerial skills in linking various organizational resources to excellent service delivery and operational results.
- You are people-oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.
- You possess analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- You have good interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with any stakeholder.
- You can multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- You stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and their implementation.
