Job Description

The role of the Automation Lead at GE Vernova involves overseeing the operational performance of Grid Automation for project execution and associated services. This includes ensuring high degrees of Safety, quality, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction in accordance with GE Vernova Way.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading overall operations of projects across various regions, guaranteeing proper execution of customer orders to meet regional and end-customer expectations. Furthermore, they will lead, coach, and develop operational teams within their respective region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for basic and detailed design of DCS for GA projects based on inputs received from respective regions.
- Support the deployment of world-class processes, practices, methods, and harmonized tools for engineering supported by GA Global Operations.
- Lead technical teams comprising GE internal members and contractors to coordinate day-to-day execution as per plan along with platform setup.
- Hold teams accountable for commitments, remove roadblocks, leverage organizational resources to improve capacity.
- Responsible for performance appraisal, people growth, and talent retention for team members.
- Take a lead role in supporting ITO teams for technical clarifications in liaison with respective engineering leaders.
- Demonstrate superior decision-making, persuasion, and influencing skills to align internal and external customers with project goals and execute plans within given time and budget.

The ideal candidate should possess strong business acumen with successful management experience, including discipline in managing day-to-day business. They should also have strong interpersonal and leadership skills that build connections with cross-functional teams through personal involvement, inclusivity, and trust. Additionally, they should have the ability to drive constant improvement in processes and achieve organizational goals.
