IT Operations Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• We proactively monitor system health and implement corrective actions to prevent issues from arising.
• We conduct regular system monitoring and health checks to ensure the system is functioning as expected.
• Our team ensures that all critical system backups are completed successfully, so we can quickly recover in case of an outage.
• We take proactive measures to optimize system performance and uptime.
• We deliver and maintain high uptime availability targets, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.

Incident, Problem & Change Management

• We manage incidents and problems in alignment with established service level agreements (SLAs).
• We perform root cause analysis on unplanned outages and implement preventive measures to minimize their impact.
• We are responsible for upgrade tasks, including service levels, kernel, and firmware upgrades.
• We coordinate and manage outsourced IT partners for service delivery, ensuring seamless integration with our systems.

System Optimization & Performance

• We optimize system and application performance through continuous monitoring and improvement initiatives.
• We establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to track landscape performance.
• We initiate and manage improvement projects where KPIs are not met, driving ongoing optimization and innovation.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent performance across the landscape, fostering a culture of excellence.
• We conduct technical analysis and support infrastructure implementations and upgrades, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Governance & Compliance

• We maintain documentation and technical standard operating procedures (SOPs), institutionalizing best practices throughout the organization.
• We ensure adherence to landscape methodology, design, security, and general IT controls, maintaining a strong governance framework.
• We review compliance status and implement corrective actions for non-compliance, ensuring ongoing regulatory and standards compliance.
• We ensure operations are aligned with the company's code of conduct and social responsibility guidelines, promoting a positive work environment.
• We detect and report ethical breaches, corruption, or code of conduct violations immediately, maintaining a safe and respectful workplace.

Housekeeping & Maintenance

• We schedule and monitor housekeeping activities, such as archiving according to retention policies, to maintain data integrity.
• We ensure regular execution and updates of housekeeping jobs, preventing data loss and ensuring business continuity.
• We ensure effective backup, restoration, and system refresh processes, minimizing downtime and data loss.

Resilience & Availability

• We ensure proactive application maintenance to prevent disruptions, keeping our systems running smoothly.
• We design high-availability plans covering backups, archiving, housekeeping, and health checks, ensuring business continuity.
• We minimize business disruption through fast resolution and root cause analysis, responding quickly to issues.

Technical Skills & Tools

• We require proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Linux, SCCM, VMware, Active Directory, Antivirus, Endpoint Security.
• We need cloud computing expertise: AWS / Azure.
• We require remote desktop support, password management.
• We expect network fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment

• We seek experience in a multi-site, manufacturing organization.
• Prior experience in at least one Microsoft 365 implementation is desired.
• Familiarity with IT service frameworks such as ISO/IEC 20000, ITIL V5, COBIT5 is beneficial.
